Database Design
If you need complex functionality on your web site then you probably need a database behind it. We have many years of database design and development accessing a range of databases, primarily relational databases.
When working in PHP on Unix/Linux servers we typically utilize MySQL as our database of choice. MySql is a robust open source database for which there is no licensing fee - so its essentially free.
We can design the database needed for your site, defining the db schema with 'normalized' tables and fields and indexed as appopriate to suite the functionality as efficiently as possible.
Part of our process is to work within what you already have. If you have no pre-existing branding then we consider your line of business, who your audience is, what your likes and dislikes are and present alternate designs to solicit feedback.
